As a company we desire that people enjoy the authentic Colombian coffee, that is why we only source coffee that is 100% grown, proccesed and roasted in Colombia by local experts, who preserved the tradition that when coffee is cultivated with passion and care is reflected in the harvest, and from the harvest to the cup.

In Colombia, unlike other countries that opt for automated processes, coffee beans are harvested by hand by 'Los Chapoleros' who are craftsmen that carefully choose mature cherries from the plant to avoid the defects produced by mixing them in different stages of seasoning.

Once the coffee cherries are selected, they are transformed by arduous skilled work that characterizes the Colombian coffee heritage a technique called ‘el beneficio humedo’ which translates to the wet process.

It consists of de-pulping the cherry with an artisanal machine known as the pulper, which removes the outer skin layer of the bean. Then, the bean and mucilage is fermented in water for a few days. After the fermentation process, the bean is washed from its mucilage to release the natural aroma and lastly the beans are dry under the sun.

Once the beans are dry, they undergo a process called ‘la trilla’ which consists in threshing the sheath of the bean, to obtain the almond or green bean. Once threshed, beans are carefully selected taking into account the size, appearance, weight, and color. Last stage is to roast the beans, process that release the lovely aromas and flavours that you normally find in a cup of coffee. Once beans are roasted, they are packed in airtight sealed bags to ensure the maximum freshness and quality of the coffee. Once the beans are packed, coffee is ready to be exported and start the journey to delight consumers worldwide.
